Most humans enjoy watching the activities in the animal kingdom. Some of us focus on particular species and focus on the developments there.
Birds are one of the favorite species humans like to observe. One of the reasons for that is the freedom and simplicity of the bird's life. You don't need to be an official bird watcher who knows the different types of bird or go on formal bird-watching trips to enjoy seeing our fair-feather friends in action.
You can actually create an environment around you home that draws birds to visit your yard and the surroundings of your home. Even if you live in an apartment in the city, you can create this atmosphere.
One of the ways to attract birds is to have one or more birdhouses set up around your dwelling. While birds are simple and don't need much more than food, water and shelter, providing a bird house for them helps them be happy and protected.
Birdhouses come in various shapes, sizes and colors. They add an attractive touch to your living space's outside surroundings. Their uniqueness of different styles, shapes and colors allows you to choose one that reflects your desired surroundings while providing the shelter that birds need for living and nesting. What Animals Can You Expect to See on Safari?
Anyone in the world dreams of going on a safari adventure, but it is not so far away from becoming a reality. Now more than ever travel agents are offering a wide range of Safari Holidays at very affordable rates. If you have already decided to take the plunge, what can you expect to see in the safari?
Well lets take a look at a few animals that you may well come across on your journey.
First and foremost there is the large animals, there will be a whole variety of them and you are bound to see the common Giraffes, Oryx and Plains Zebras, they are great and you will come across them probably hundreds of times on your trip. But you should want to catch a glimpse of the smaller and rare animals.
In Africa there are around 300 different bird species to come across. Some animals also are quite poisonous and dangerous so make sure you take great care. Also make sure that you check to see if you need any jabs before you leave.
What You Should Take with You?
After deciding to go on Safari, you have to then turn your mind to what you are actually going to pack. You will probably be dropped off in a vehicle so you could pack a few bits and bobs into the boot. But when leaving the vehicle you will have a big trek of a walk so only pack the essentials such as drinks and cameras. Try not pack a lot of clothes as you will probably end up ruining your journey. The reason I say this is because carrying a heavy bag in the heat will only make the walk a misery. Sometimes it's so hot that you will not even want to wear much.
Depending on the safari adventure you have chosen, you may have some nice accommodation to stay in such as a lodge or hotel. If you have chosen a wildlife package you may want to camp it out. So the provider's should really supply you with some tents. By Musa Aykac
